Why We Built This Site
Tennessee provides several forms of public access, but the correct route depends on who created the record. Claiborne County booking questions go to the sheriff and jail. Filed charges and dispositions belong with the Circuit Court Clerk. TBI runs the statewide TORIS name check, TDOC maintains felony custody and supervision information, and the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry serves a separate public-notification purpose. Bringing those roles together makes it easier to start with the proper custodian.
What You Will Find Here
- Record guides: practical ways to search and read Claiborne County criminal court cases
- Official check details: the scope and limits of TORIS and fingerprint-based review
- Agency contacts: verified routes to the sheriff, jail, clerk, and Tennessee systems
- Record-clearing information: the Tennessee expungement route through the court that handled the charge
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately operated reference site with no connection to a Tennessee court, law-enforcement agency, or state department. Those boundaries mean:
- We do not run official criminal-history checks or retrieve records for visitors
- We cannot submit records requests or expungement papers on anyone's behalf
- We do not issue certified court files, booking records, or rap sheets
- We cannot interpret a charge or provide advice about a specific case
- We cannot promise that an agency's fee, hours, or procedure has not changed
An official copy must come from the Claiborne County sheriff, the proper court clerk, TBI, or the other agency that maintains the original file.
Search Partners
Some search boxes are operated by outside providers. Those companies control their services, prices, data practices, and results. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral payment that supports site operations. We do not set partner fees or control what their searches return.
